## Summary

The procurement process described in this documentation involves Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), a sub-central government public authority tasked with maintaining physical assets such as bus shelters and stops. This specific contract, titled "Bus Shelter and Bus Stop Maintenance and Cleaning," covers repair, maintenance, and cleaning services necessary for ensuring the safety and operability of these facilities. The contract, identified by reference number DN774947, was conducted under an open procedure, with key award actions finalized on 8th May 2026. The geographical area impacted by this contract is the Manchester region, UKD33. Although the tender is marked as complete, it represents a standard procedure for service-related contracts focused on urban cleaning and repair services, effective until May 2027, with an option for extension based on TfGM's requirements.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for firms specialising in repair and cleaning services, particularly those capable of delivering timely infrastructure maintenance amidst urban settings. Companies like CENTRAL ELECTRICAL (NW) LTD, which successfully secured this contract, illustrate the competitive advantage of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within such tenders. Businesses that can provide swift, high-quality service responses while managing ongoing maintenance schedules are well-placed to benefit from similar opportunities, opening pathways for sustained growth and collaboration with regional public authorities like TfGM.
