## Summary

The Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract for the provision of cadaveric facilities and resources necessary for the Defence Medical Academy's Military Operational Surgical Team Training (MOSTT) courses, located in Lichfield, UK. This process falls under the "Public authority - central government" industry category. The procurement has been completed, transitioning from the tender stage to award and contract signing. Key dates include the contract signing date of 2nd March 2026, with initial contract operations commencing on 1st April 2026 through 31st March 2029. The procurement followed an open procedure, with the contract awarded to the University of Bristol. The total estimated contract value, including possible extensions, amounts to £1.6 million including VAT.

This contract presents significant business growth opportunities for organisations specialising in medical training facilities and resources, particularly those equipped to manage anatomical resources under stringent regulations like the Human Tissue Act 2004. Businesses capable of ensuring cyber security according to DEF Stan 05-138 controls will be well-suited. The utilisation of advanced technology and infrastructure—such as high-speed Wi-Fi for remote sessions—underscores the growing demand for tech-savvy solutions providers. Large-scale suppliers possessing the capability to fulfill requirements with precise standards will benefit from the stability and expansion potential within government contracts. The structured framework agreement provides potential options for course delivery expansion, making it attractive for businesses looking to grow within the defence sector.
