## Summary

North Tyneside Borough Council is currently in the tender stage for a significant procurement process titled "Homecare Services Framework". This open procurement procedure, valued approximately at £234 million, aims to establish a framework to support individuals in living independently at home, specifically within the UKC22 region. It focuses on health and social work services, requiring potential suppliers to have or obtain a CQC registration in North Tyneside, Northumberland, or Newcastle prior to contract commencement. Key dates include the tender period ending on 13 July 2026 and the award period concluding on 28 August 2026.

This procurement presents numerous opportunities for business growth, particularly for companies specialising in health and social work services. With its focus on supporting independent living, the tender is well-suited for small and medium-sized enterprises, as indicated by the suitability criteria across various lots, which cover different zones like Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. Successful bidders will have the opportunity to secure framework agreements that may extend up to four years, potentially enhancing their market presence in a high-demand sector. The structured allocation of care packages offers steady work and the chance to become a key service provider within the region.
