## Summary

Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process to provide services for the electrical system service and repairs, as specified in their tender titled "Electrical System Service and Repairs." This tender, with an estimated value of £5,000,000, covers a comprehensive range of electrical maintenance services, including emergency lighting, portable appliance testing, and vehicle charging, among others. The contract, set to commence on 1 April 2026 and potentially extendable to 31 March 2033, is located in the United Kingdom, specifically in the region of UKD3. Interested suppliers are advised to register on The Chest: North West Procurement Portal, as electronic submissions are allowed until 14 November 2025. The process follows an open procurement method under the open procedure, and suppliers must demonstrate technical capabilities and economic stability.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical maintenance services, particularly those with experience in managing multiple callouts and maintaining high health and safety standards. With a focus on both planned and responsive services, businesses that can provide 24/7 coverage and swift on-site response times are especially well-suited. The council values expertise and efficiency, seeking suppliers with an annual turnover of no less than £700,000 and appropriate accreditations. Additionally, there's an emphasis on leveraging social value practices, making this contract particularly appealing for SMEs interested in expanding their footprint within public sector contracts. With a historical annual spend in the category estimated at around £500,000, successful bidders could anticipate a steady workflow that could underpin or expand their service offerings.
