## Summary

Efficiency East Midlands Limited, a sub-central government public authority based in Alfreton, UK, is planning a procurement exercise to establish a new Passive Fire Protection Services Framework. The framework aims to replace the existing one ending in November 2026. This procurement targets the services industry and involves various regions across the UK, including UKC, UKD, UKE, UKF, and others. As of now, the procurement process is at the planning stage, with a market engagement scheduled where interested parties can participate to refine the procurement strategy. The tender documents are expected to be released in June 2026, with deadlines to register interest for engagement by 27th November 2025.

This framework presents significant business opportunities, especially for organisations that specialise in fire-prevention installation works, technical building-inspection services, and fire-prevention consultancy. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to engage, as the framework is designed to accommodate such entities. Businesses that participate in this framework can expect not only to comply with evolving fire protection legislations but also to expand their service offerings to a broad range of public sector bodies including NHS trusts, local authorities, and educational establishments, thereby fostering growth and enhancing reputation within the industry. The projected gross value of this framework is £372 million, indicating the scale and potential of the opportunities available.
