## Summary

The Met Office, located in Exeter, UK, has initiated an open procurement process titled 'Delivery Partnerships Framework 2', focusing primarily on IT services such as consulting, software development, internet services, and support. This tender, governed by UKPGA legal regulations, encompasses a lucrative framework valued between £35 million and £100 million across a four-year period. It is structured as a closed framework with the possibility of reopening competition and is open for electronic submissions in English via the Proactis/ProContract portal. Key dates to note include the submission deadline on 5 March 2026 and the end of the enquiry period on 20 February 2026. Successful contracts will commence on 1 September 2026, running through to 31 August 2030.

This framework presents significant business growth opportunities for large IT service providers and SMEs alike, organised into different Lots to include various specialisations such as Data Platforms, Customer Enablement, Secure Services, and Applications. Particularly, SME-friendly Lots like the Data Platform SME and Customer Enablement Platform SME provide spaces for smaller enterprises with a value cap of £1 million. Larger firms, however, can participate in the full scope of the contract, providing an expansive market worth up to £120 million in total gross value. Businesses suited to enter this tender are those equipped to offer innovative solutions with high quality in implementation, support, and security, aligned with delivering social value. This tender could be particularly advantageous for businesses intending to establish or expand their services in the UK government sector with possibilities to enhance their market footprint, reputation, and technical capabilities.
