## Summary

The Ministry of Defence has recently awarded a contract to Mass Consultants Limited for the provision of professional services support within the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC), focusing on the Cyber & Specialist Operations Command footprint. The contract, titled "Lessons," is part of the Defence and Security sector and involves 8 full-time personnel working within various departments, such as the Military Strategic Headquarters and the Defence Experimentation and Wargaming Hub. This procurement process was conducted under an open procedure in line with the Procurement Act 2023, with an initial contract duration from 8 March 2026 to 7 March 2028, potentially extending to 2030. The contract is valued at £6,531,793.57 excluding VAT, and offers two additional optional years based on affordability and approval.

This contract provides significant opportunities for growth in the defence and security industry by offering specialised services crucial for maintaining the operational capability, effectiveness, and safety of the armed forces. Businesses with expertise in contract administration, staff training, and high-level security standards will find the requirements aligned with their strengths, particularly large enterprises equipped to handle high cyber risk profiles. Additionally, organisations capable of fulfilling security classifications up to SECRET will be well-suited for potential future collaborations with the Ministry of Defence, as this contract sets a precedent for similar future opportunities.
