## Summary

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), located in London, has completed a public procurement process titled "Group Medical Insurance for Country Based Staff (& their Dependants) of the British High Commission in Islamabad and British Deputy High Commission in Karachi, Pakistan." This procurement falls under the services category, specifically medical insurance services, with delivery focused in Pakistan. The process concluded with the award phase where the contract status is marked as active. The procurement method used was an open procedure, with the contract initially set for one year starting on 1st December 2025, with the possibility of two additional 12-month extensions conditional upon satisfactory performance. The gross contract value is £354,347, and the contract was signed with Adamjee Insurance Company Ltd., a supplier based in Pakistan, on 1st December 2025. The buying organisation has outlined key performance metrics like claim cycle time, adaptation and improvements, and customer satisfaction as part of the contract terms.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in the insurance sector, especially those that specialise in providing medical insurance services. The contract allows businesses to reinforce their service quality and explore collaboration opportunities, such as forging partnerships with hospitals for cashless insurance facilities and introducing service innovations. Organisations with strong service delivery capabilities and a focus on customer satisfaction would benefit greatly from this project. Larger suppliers or SMEs capable of delivering reliable medical insurance solutions across Pakistan, especially those compliant with local regulations, are well-positioned to compete in this sector, drawing on the contract's emphasis on performance and prospective service enhancements.
