## Summary

The Maryhill Housing Association has completed a contracting process for lift maintenance services from 2025 to 2030, located in the Maryhill & Ruchill area of Glasgow. The procurement focused on residential property services, specifically involving routine maintenance, urgent repairs, and health and safety assessments for the lifts across Maryhill Housing's properties. The buying organisation, Maryhill Housing Association, operates as a body governed by public law and manages approximately 3000 domestic properties in West Glasgow. The procurement process for this contract was executed using an open procedure, and Classic Lifts (Scotland) Ltd was awarded the contract valued at £111,240. The contract, with key dates including signing on 11 August 2025, initially spans three years, with options for extension based on performance reviews.

This tender presents ample business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in lift maintenance and ancillary building services such as joinery, plumbing, and electrical work. The contract structure prioritises quality over cost, with a 70/30 quality to price award ratio, which is attractive for companies delivering high standards in service delivery. SMEs like Classic Lifts (Scotland) Ltd, which obtained the contract, show that smaller-scale companies with relevant expertise can successfully compete and secure contracts in the public sector. Firms capable of supporting community benefits and demonstrating clear compliance with stringent performance and quality benchmarks would be well-suited to pursue such opportunities in the housing and amenities sector.

## Notice

The Contractor shall be required to carry out any works associated with the reactive repairs i.e. joinery, plumbing, tiling, electrical etc. and shall be responsible for the co-ordination and management of trades.
