## Summary

Direct Rail Services Limited, a sub-central government public authority based in Carlisle, United Kingdom, is in the planning stage of procuring an off-the-shelf IT solution for Integrated Rail Management Software. This project is aimed at enhancing the management of locomotives, wagons, maintenance, and traincrew planning within their operations. A Supplier Engagement Day is scheduled for 9th June 2025, to be held virtually via Microsoft Teams, providing a platform for suppliers to understand the project's scope and procurement process. Interested parties must register by the 2nd of June 2025. Following this, a detailed tender process is anticipated, providing opportunities for further engagement and demonstrations.

This procurement process presents a significant opportunity for software providers specialising in transport and logistics systems to engage and support a substantial public sector entity. With a contract value of £210,000, the project is an attractive prospect for small and medium enterprises capable of delivering software solutions that integrate with and optimise existing rail management systems. Successful suppliers could see business growth through long-term partnerships and the potential to influence operational efficiencies in the rail sector. Those with expertise in CPV 48000000 Software package and information systems will find this tender particularly well-aligned with their capabilities.
