## Summary

The public procurement process for the "General Wound Care" framework by Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL), situated in London, UK, is designed to support the procurement of wound care products for NHS Trusts and other entities. The framework covers a comprehensive array of goods, including bandages, medical swabs, cotton wool, first aid kits, and emergency products. This framework agreement, with a projected first-year expenditure between £13.5 million and £14.5 million, is anticipated to span from 1st February 2026 to 31st January 2028, with potential extensions up to 2030. The procurement follows an open procedure and includes multiple lots, each focused on different wound care products. SCCL has completed preliminary market engagement with suppliers, paving the way for up to £58 million in expenditure throughout the framework's maximum duration. Key dates include tender submission by 1st July 2025 and an anticipated award conclusion by 29th October 2025.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in the manufacturing and supply of medical consumables, predominantly within the wound care segment, to broaden their market reach and participate in a high-value contract with the NHS. Suppliers ranging from large enterprises to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of meeting the technical requirements and maintaining compliance with ISO standards are well-suited to bid. The framework offers competitive advantages due to its broader applicability within various NHS entities and other healthcare organisations in the UK. Participation in this framework underscores a commitment to quality and resilience within the supply chain, fostering potential growth in a critical healthcare market.
