## Summary

The Westmorland and Furness Council has successfully concluded a public procurement process to deliver the "All Age Carers Support Service" across the Westmorland and Furness region, located in the United Kingdom (UKD12). This contract, finalised on 31st March 2026, was awarded through an open procedure and is valued at £3,467,000. It starts on 1st April 2026, with a possible extension of up to twelve months, projected to end on 31st March 2029, with a maximum possible extension until 31st March 2030. The procurement falls under the "health and social work services" category (CPV 85000000) and adheres to the light touch regime, with N-COMPASS TOWARDS A BRIGHTER FUTURE LIMITED as the winning SME supplier. The council's aims include recognising, supporting, and protecting unpaid carers while valuing their contributions and input into service delivery.

This awarded contract offers substantial opportunities for enterprises specialising in health and social care services. As the service aims to enhance support for unpaid carers, businesses with expertise in delivering health, social care guidance, and break services for carers are excellently positioned to bid for extensions or related offerings. SMEs, especially those with a focus on supportive care services and engagement with community-based initiatives, stand to benefit significantly. By aligning with key priorities such as ensuring carers' health and well-being, information dissemination, and listening to carers' voices, businesses can contribute to a robust support framework, thereby fostering growth and strengthening community ties.
