## Summary

The Submarine Delivery Agency is conducting a procurement process under the title "SDA Platform and Equipment Delivery Team Supplier Engagement". This process is within the defence and security sector, primarily focusing on submarines and related maritime equipment. The procurement is in the planning stage, with various engagement activities scheduled through to 2026, including Requests for Information due by 8th September 2025. The procurement involves market engagement to identify supplier capabilities and industry feedback, aiming for a contract start date of 1st April 2027 and ending on 31st March 2034. These activities will take place in Bristol, United Kingdom, and are part of the agency's efforts to modernise submarine operational capabilities.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses, particularly SMEs, involved in the production and maintenance of submarine and defence-related equipment. Companies with capabilities in manufacturing submarines, marine equipment, electrical components, software, and procurement consultancy are well-positioned to benefit. The process encourages supplier engagement through conferences and RFIs, allowing businesses to showcase their capabilities and collaborate closely with the Submarine Delivery Agency. Engaging in this tender process not only opens up prospective contracts but also enables businesses to become integral partners in enhancing the UK's defence infrastructure through cutting-edge technology and strategic cooperation.

## Notice

This notice serves as an update to the PEDT announcement originally published on 3rd June 2025, which invited suppliers to express their interest in attending the Early Market Engagement event, the PEDT Supplier Conference, held on 4th July 2025. The purpose of this update is twofold: firstly, to inform suppliers of the ongoing and forthcoming market engagement activities; and secondly, to provide an opportunity for additional suppliers, who have engaged with the initial notice or attended the Supplier Conference, to express their interest in participating in these activities.

### Planning Information

The engagement will use a number of different channels and forums during 2025 and 2026; including but not limited to supplier briefs, requests for information and supplier forum meetings in an aim to identify the level of industry interest, gain feedback on our approach to the commercial management of our portfolio, to further inform our requirement and understand what approaches industry deem may be suitable for the delivery and running of our contracts once awarded.
The first event was a SDA Platform and Equipment Delivery Team SUPPLIER CONFERENCE on 4th July 2025 in Bristol from 0900hrs -1300hrs.
Following on from the Supplier Conference, PEDT has issued an initial Request for Information (RFI) to gather further insights into the supplier ecosystem and better understand the capabilities and offerings within the market.
PEDT intend to undertake further future engagement through RFIs, and Category Industry Days. These events are designed to facilitate deeper engagement with the supplier community, focusing on specific categories of interest and fostering collaboration to support the programme’s objectives.
The RFI can be accessed through the PEDT Market Engagement Data Room. A return to this RFI is requested before 17:00 on Monday 8th September 2025.
Suppliers need to have completed an Expression of Interest and be registered to access the Data Room.
Note for Suppliers who have not previously engaged and have therefore not registered for the Supplier Data Room.
Suppliers who have not yet engaged but are interested in participating will need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to register for access to the PEDT Market Engagement Data Room. Please use the following link to submit your expression of interest:

Following completion of the EOI, you will receive an invitation to join the PEDT- Market Engagement Data Room. Once communications or documents are issued in the Data Room suppliers will be notified of this happening by the platform. This dedicated platform will serve as the central hub for all future communications, updates, and engagements, including the distribution and submission of Requests for Information (RFIs). By joining the Data Room, you will gain access to essential resources and stay informed about the latest developments throughout the engagement process.
Note for Suppliers who have previously engaged and are registered for the Supplier Data Room
Suppliers who previously expressed an interest in the supplier conference do not need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form again as you are already registered for access to the Supplier Data Room and will be notified by the platform when the documents are issued.
Any questions or queries relating to PEDT Market Engagement may be sent to SDA-PEDT-Industry@mod.gov.uk.
Please note, the publication date of the UK 4 Tender Notice, Contract start date and Contract end date included in this notice are an estimate and is still subject to change. Neither past nor future Market Engagement Activities undertaken by PEDT shall be deemed to constitute any form of pre-qualification exercise. Any formal procurement process will be conducted in strict accordance with the applicable Procurement Law.
