## Summary

The Department for Science, Innovation & Technology is inviting tenders for the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework, a project falling under the category of research and experimental development services. This opportunity is located in the United Kingdom and is currently in the tender stage. The procurement follows the open procedure method, and interested parties should submit their tenders via the CCS portal by the deadline on 30th June 2025, following the enquiry period ending on 13th June 2025. The tender, valued at a gross amount of £95,000, will conclude its award period by 3rd July 2025. It aims to conclude the pilot phase by this year, enhancing certification schemes with independent assurance activities.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in certification, research, and experimental development within the UK. Companies, particularly SMEs and VCSEs with strengths in organisational capabilities, personnel skills, delivery approaches, and sectoral expertise, are well-suited to compete for this contract. The emphasis on quality criteria such as personnel experience and delivery approach means that organisations can leverage these aspects to enhance their competitive edge. The resulting contract will provide ongoing work from July 2025 to March 2026, with potential renewals extending up to 2028, allowing firms to secure long-term growth and establish themselves within a crucial framework certified by the UK Accreditation Service.

## Notice

The UK digital identity and attributes trust framework certification process is based on the ISO 17065 standard and has been 'recognised' by the UK Accreditation Service. Independent third-party organisations, called conformity assessment bodies (CABs), have been authorised by DSIT to conduct conformity assessment activities in this area as part of a pilot. The pilot process is expected to conclude this year, as CABs obtain 'accreditation' from the UK Accreditation Service. The purpose of this is to provide independent assurance activities that will help DSIT and CABs continuously improve the certification scheme and connected processes, and to support implementation of changes as required.
