## Summary

The procurement process involves NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board commissioning adult hospice services, including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based care in East Berkshire, specifically the areas of Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Ascot and Bracknell. The procurement falls under the limited method due to its specialised nature in the health services category. This contract was directly awarded to Thames Hospice as part of the Provider Selection Regime and does not involve any provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract commenced on 1st April 2025 and spans two years, with a potential two-year extension, aiming to enhance end-of-life care. Located in Windsor, this notice involves a total contract value amounting to £22,435,000.

This award notice presents a robust opportunity for businesses involved in hospice care and ancillary health services to collaborate in enhancing service delivery across East Berkshire. As Thames Hospice continues providing these vital health services, businesses specialising in healthcare infrastructure, patient support, and medical equipment supply might find potential growth prospects in partnerships and subcontracting arrangements. Furthermore, organisations with technology solutions for healthcare management may benefit from facilitating improved patient care pathways and communication channels. The strong emphasis on reducing hospital admissions and providing seamless, holistic care presents a conducive environment for innovation and service enhancement within the healthcare sector.
