## Summary

Sheffield City Council, a sub-central government public authority, is currently in the tender stage of a procurement process titled "Multiply 2025/26". This initiative falls under the education and training services category, specifically targeting adult and other education services. Located in Sheffield, United Kingdom, the contract aims to enhance numeracy skills across various community segments. Key dates for this tender include an enquiry period ending on 20th June 2025 and a deadline for tender submissions on 27th June 2025. The procurement method employed is an open competition, with the entire contract valued at up to £480,000, including VAT, and focusing on quality criteria.

Businesses specialising in educational services, particularly those with experience in adult education or innovative community programmes, will find significant opportunities within this tender. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to compete, given the tender's suitability for such organisations and its emphasis on engaging hard-to-reach learners. With the contract period running from July 2025 to March 2026, participating businesses can leverage this opportunity to expand their services, collaborate with community organisations, and contribute to the development of essential numeracy skills that have wide-ranging benefits for individuals and the economy.

## Notice

The Government wants everyone to have the opportunity to learn and develop the essential skills that they need to succeed at any age. We know that numeracy is universally important for individuals' life chances, and for the United Kingdom's economy as a whole. Multiply aims to see meaningful participation that boosts people's ability to use maths in their daily life, at home and work - and enables adults to achieve formal qualifications that can open doors for them (such as into a job, progression in work, or progression to further study). This tender is split into 4 areas 1) Engagement 2) Numeracy activities, courses or provision developed in partnership with community organisations and other partners aimed at engaging the hardest to reach learners. 3) Courses for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills to help their children and help with their own progression. 4) Innovative numeracy programmes delivered in the community to support learners with their physical and mental health.
