## Summary

The recent procurement process conducted by The Council of the Borough of Kirklees, in collaboration with the Greater Huddersfield and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Groups, focused on procuring domiciliary care services under a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). This procurement falls under the Health and Social Work Services category, with its geographical location specified as Kirklees, region UKE44, United Kingdom. The process was carried out as a restricted procedure in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This tender involved multiple awards made on 31st March 2025, marking the completion stage of the procurement. During this phase, a ten-day standstill period was observed for potential appeals. This initiative is part of the effort to secure the necessary care services, helping people live independently at home.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses within the health and social care sector, especially those with competencies in delivering domiciliary care services. The structure of the DPS allows small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to engage competitively with the possibility of securing contracts for delivering personalised care packages to individuals over 18 years who require support. The demand for these services continues to grow, providing a fertile ground for businesses looking to expand their footprint and enhance their service offerings in the domiciliary care market. This opportunity is suited for organisations equipped to scale service provision and maintain high-quality care, making an impactful contribution to the well-being of the Kirklees community.

## Notice

Kirklees Council, in conjunction with the Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group, has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of domiciliary care services. The purpose of the procurement exercise is to seek and appoint providers to the DPS, who have the relevant skills and experience, for the delivery of personal care and support (domiciliary care) in service users homes. Kirklees Council and the CCG's have established a DPS to be able to access additional capacity in the market and be able to purchase services to support people to live successfully in their own homes with an appropriate range of person centred services and to enable Service Users receiving care to lead a good quality of life, maximising their independence, remain safe and comfortable in their own homes for as long as possible whilst maintaining their individual dignity, privacy and freedom of choice.
