We are looking to appoint one (1) Supplier for the provision of this requirement. The Cord Blood Bank (CBB) forms part of the Clinical Services Directorate of NHSBT. The CBB laboratory provides services to support haematopoietic stem cell transplantation including collection, processing and cryopreservation of cord blood derived stem cells. Cord blood is rich in blood stem cells, similar to those found in bone marrow, and these can be used to treat many different cancers, immune deficiencies and genetic disorders.
