## Summary

The Yate Town Council has initiated a public procurement process, titled "Yate Town Council Peg Hill Skatepark Refurbishment Project", focused on the refurbishment of the Peg Hill Skatepark located in Bristol, UK. The project falls under the "works" procurement category, specifically targeting park and playground equipment, construction work, and recreational services. It is currently at the tender stage, with a procurement method of open competition below the threshold. Key dates for submission include a tender period running from 15th September 2025 to 14th November 2025, with site refurbishment expected to start in Spring 2026 and completed by 30th September 2026. The contract value is estimated at £450,000 excluding VAT, and the proposals should adhere to specific design and sustainability criteria outlined in the tender documents.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in construction, particularly those specialising in skateparks, as well as sectors focusing on sustainable and innovative design practices. Companies experienced in creating inclusive recreational spaces and those with the capacity to utilise recycled or low-impact materials are well-positioned to compete. The emphasis on sustainability and accessibility ensures that businesses with relevant expertise and resources to offer long-lasting, eco-friendly solutions can potentially benefit from public investment and expand their portfolio in the community infrastructure domain. Smaller enterprises are encouraged to participate in this open competition, with innovative approaches and proven experience in similar scale projects likely enhancing their competitive edge.
