## Summary

The recent procurement process involves a completed Framework Agreement for the Provision of Trades Contractors, managed by Renfrewshire Council alongside East Renfrewshire Council and ONEREN. This comprehensive agreement, active as of 15th December 2025, encompasses various works within the construction industry, classified under CPV code 45000000. It is designed to facilitate reactive repairs, maintenance, and smaller projects across domestic properties and public buildings within the UKM83 region. The procurement followed an open procedure, ensuring broad participation and transparency throughout the tender phase, which ended on 14th July 2025.

This tender represents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for trades specialising in electrical, plumbing, joinery, and roofing services. Established as a framework agreement with a potential duration of up to four years, it allows contractors to support in-house council resources, thus providing steady work and the chance to work on varied projects. SMEs, in particular, may find this framework advantageous due to the tender's emphasis on quality (35%) and price (65%), and the separate lots allowing flexibility to bid on areas that best fit their expertise. The inclusion of community benefit requirements further underscores the growth and community impact potential for participating businesses.
