## Summary

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), a central government public authority in the United Kingdom, is initiating a procurement process for Property Legal Services (PLS) 3. This procurement is intended to replace the existing PLS2 contract, which will expire on 31st January 2026. The process, currently in the tender stage, involves a selective competitive procedure with two phases. The first stage, an Invitation to Participate, aims to shortlist five suppliers for the final tender submission. The procurement falls under the real estate services category and is part of the DWP's broader Estates Transformation programme. An awareness session will be held on 18th June 2025 at 13:00, and the deadline for expressing interest is 9th July 2025.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in property legal services, including real estate advice, conveyancing, and litigation. Companies with expertise in handling property leases, landlord consents, acquisitions, landlord-tenant issues, and related legal matters are well-suited to compete. The contract's estimated value is £14.2 million, with potential extensions based on mutual benefit and strategic considerations. This light-touch procurement encourages participation from SMEs, promising business growth through sustained collaboration with a major government department. The process ensures a robust competitive landscape, enabling qualified firms to secure long-term business ventures with the government.
