## Summary

Dorset Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Kerbside Bulky Item And Reuse Service," which falls under the industry category of refuse and waste related services. This process is taking place in Dorchester, United Kingdom, within the UKK25 region. The procurement involves early market engagement aimed at gathering information and feedback from the reuse sector concerning the collection and reuse of bulky items from kerbsides. Key dates include a deadline for engagement responses by 2nd July 2025, and the anticipated formal procurement process is set to commence in December 2025. The operational contract period is planned to start on 28th August 2026 and end on 27th August 2030, with a possible extension until 2038.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in waste management and reuse services, particularly those with experience in innovative service specifications and contract management within the public sector. Organisations involved in refuse-related services can benefit from establishing a partnership with a local government body, such as Dorset Council, potentially enhancing their business growth through a long-term contractual relationship. Businesses that are capable of providing cost-effective and sustainable solutions for waste collection and reuse will find this opportunity particularly beneficial. Registering on the Central Digital Platform will be advantageous for potential bidders to stay informed and participate effectively when the formal tender is released.
