## Summary

Belfast City Council is currently in the planning stage of a tender for the provision of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure Solutions across its estate in Belfast, United Kingdom. The procurement process aims to assess market competition, capability, and capacity through a pre-market engagement (PME) exercise. Belfast City Council, a public authority under Northern Irish devolved regulations, is conducting this initiative as part of its commitment to sustainable infrastructure. Interested suppliers are advised to submit their PME questionnaires by 5pm on 4th July 2025. The Council uses eSourcing NI for the tendering process and plans to issue a formal invitation to tender following the PME review.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical installation services, the operation of electrical installations, and charger manufacture. With the project running from February 2026 to January 2030, there is ample scope for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and third-sector organisations to engage. The procurement process aims to engage businesses that can offer high-quality service and innovative solutions, contributing to business growth in the EV infrastructure sector. By participating in this process, businesses can gain insights into Belfast City Council's requirements and position themselves as leaders in the expanding market for sustainable transport solutions.
