## Summary

The Chief Constable for Devon and Cornwall Police is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process regarding the annual servicing of fire dampers across their estate of 21 buildings in the Devon and Cornwall area. This procurement falls under the services industry category, with a focus on repair and maintenance services. Located in Exeter, the procurement process is still in its preliminary stage, characterized by market engagements and planned to transition into a formal tender process by mid-2025. Noteworthy dates include a market research milestone due on 27th June 2025 and a preliminary market engagement closing at noon on the same day.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses in the maintenance and repair services sector, particularly those specializing in fire safety systems, to engage early with the potential buyer. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly suitable to participate as the procurement strategy promotes inclusivity for such entities. Engaging in this preliminary market consultation allows businesses to influence the procurement requirements and ensure their capabilities align with the buyer's anticipated specifications. Potential suppliers are encouraged to engage with the representatives to gather insights and participate in shaping the future tender, enhancing their prospects for securing subsequent contracts.
