## Summary

Breckland District Council has completed a procurement process titled "DFG Adaptation Works" aimed at delivering home adaptations under Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG). The framework contract, valued at £2,400,000, was awarded on 13th July 2026 and is set to run until 12th July 2027, with the possibility of extending for two additional years. This procurement involves adapting homes to support individuals with disabilities across the Breckland district in Norfolk, UK (region UKH17), includes various works like installation and completion of building projects. The procurement was conducted through an open competition under a framework agreement. Key suppliers awarded through this process, such as ASPIRE ADAPTATIONS LTD and PURDY CONTRACTS LIMITED, are expected to deliver efficient and prompt home modifications.

This tender represents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs and enterprises within the construction and building installation industries. Suitable for companies that specialise in adaptations such as level-access showers, ramps, and bathroom renovations, the framework allows for repeated low-value work across the district—ideal for businesses with the capacity to respond to fluctuating demand. Companies involved will benefit from the rotational allocation of work and could achieve substantial engagement through site visits and mini-competitions for bespoke or larger projects. This structure supports fair competition, making it an attractive opportunity for businesses familiar with accommodating disability needs in residential construction.

## Notice

We have re-procured our Framework for home adaptations delivered through Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and are suitable and qualified contractors who can deliver adaptations efficiently and promptly. DFGs are available to those with disabilities to provide funding for home adaptations. Typical adaptations include replacing a bath with a level access shower, bathroom reconfigurations, door widening, ramps and access into and out of the house. The primary goal of this grant is to facilitate changes that allow recipients to continue living independently in their own home.
