## Summary

The Common Services Agency, known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), is in the planning stage for a procurement process aimed at delivering sustainability and carbon-neutral targets at the Foresterhill Health Campus in Aberdeen. This service-based tender, classified under the "Energy and related services" category, seeks innovative technological solutions to reduce energy costs and achieve sustainability goals. Key dates include a Supplier Information Day scheduled for 1st September 2025, with expressions of interest due by 22nd August 2025. The procurement process anticipates the use of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) involving technologies such as battery energy storage systems and solar photovoltaic systems. This initiative aligns with NHS Grampian's ambitions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in renewable energy solutions, particularly those with expertise in large-scale projects and proven experience in similar sectors such as public bodies or large companies. Interested parties must demonstrate capabilities in delivering fully funded technological solutions, providing cost-effective and innovative services, and understanding public sector timelines. Furthermore, businesses capable of conducting comprehensive site assessments and managing ongoing maintenance programmes will find this project aligns with their strengths. With the potential for income generation schemes, the procurement offers prospects for securing substantial contracts that support both economic and environmental goals, fostering business growth in the energy and sustainability industries.
