## Summary

The Metropolitan Borough of Bury has initiated an open procurement process for the operation of a bistro service concession at two extra care schemes, Peachment Place and Redbank, located in Bury and Radcliffe, respectively. This invitation for bids falls under the services category with the CPV classification for canteen and catering services. The process is currently at the tender stage, with key dates including the expression of interest closing on 11th July 2025 at 17:00 and the tender submission deadline on 17th July 2025 at 12:00. The concession spans five years with a potential five-year extension, beginning on 1st October 2025. These opportunities are structured into two lots, allowing bidders to apply for either one or both sites.

This tender presents significant opportunities for professional catering businesses, especially SMEs and VCSEs, given the use of a concession contract and its suitability criteria. The bistros are intended for extra care schemes that offer innovative living solutions for individuals over 55 with care needs, enhancing community involvement, and business growth potential. Organisations with experience in catering within care settings or those aiming to diversify into similar ventures will find this an invaluable opportunity to expand their portfolio and foster long-term collaborations with local authorities in the UK.
