## Summary

Transport for London (TfL), a central government public authority located at 5 Endeavour Square, London, is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process involving cradle maintenance and refurbishment services. This initiative targets four Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) situated at two locations: Palestra House and 5 Endeavour Square, both in London. The procurement method is a Preliminary Market Engagement exercise, allowing interested suppliers to register by the extended due date of 18th July 2026. The industry categories involved comprise overhaul and refurbishment work, hire of construction and civil engineering machinery and equipment, and building and facilities management services. Notably, the contract period is set to commence on 5th January 2026 and end on 23rd June 2026, with an estimated contract value of £800,000 GBP.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses specialised in maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance with strict industry standards such as LOLER, PUWER, and the CDM Regulations. The project's unique requirements—like conducting site works primarily outside of business hours—present a competitive edge for providers able to demonstrate flexibility and comprehensive technical capabilities. SMEs are encouraged to participate, highlighting the potential for smaller enterprises to expand by delivering innovative solutions and ensuring full operational compliance of the BMUs. This is an excellent opportunity for companies capable of contributing to key assessments about market capacity, delivery methods, and cost efficiencies in the London area.
