## Summary

The Natural History Museum, located in London, UK, is currently in the tender stage of its procurement process for the "Palaeontology Roof Project: Principal Contractor." The Museum seeks a principal contractor to manage the restoration works on the Palaeontology Building's roof. This project, which falls under the industry category of roof works and other special trade construction, is valued at £1.65 million, with a gross amount of £2 million. An open procurement method is employed, and the deadline for tender submissions is set for 30th July 2025. The works are scheduled to commence on 1st August 2025, with phase one completion targeted by March 2026. The invitation to tender access requires a non-disclosure agreement, with the tender documents made available once this is completed.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in roof restoration and construction services. Firms with expertise in the coordination of complex projects, including those with experience handling phased works that maintain operational safety in public settings, will find this opportunity well-suited to their capabilities. The Museum's emphasis on quality and relevant experience, alongside cost considerations, provides an attractive prospect for businesses focused on maintaining high standards. Companies eligible as SMEs are especially encouraged to apply, making this a viable chance for smaller enterprises to expand their project portfolio and collaborate on high-value public sector projects.

## Notice

This will be made available via the Selection Questionnaire stage and must be completed and returned to the Museum for counter signature. Once this has been completed, tenderers will be granted access to the tender documents. ### Lot Information

Lot 1

Renewal: The future phases of work are not guaranteed to be appointed. They are subject to satisfactory performance and completion of Phase 2, achieving the Contractor's Requirements (under Statement of Requirements Section 5) in Phase 2, future costs ensuring value for money and the availability of additional funding for the future phases. If those criteria are met, the Museum would like to appoint the same Supplier to complete future phases of the Palaeontology Building Roofing Project using a new version of the Contract.
