## Summary

Merseytravel, a sub-central government public authority based in Liverpool, United Kingdom, recently completed the procurement process for a new Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure and is part of the software package and information systems industry category. The title of the tender was "Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System," aimed at replacing the existing system. The process was finalised with a contract awarded to IFS Ultimo Ltd, a large-scale supplier based in Staines-Upon-Thames, for a period starting on 9th December 2025 and potentially extending until December 2033. The initial contract term is set for four years with an option for two additional two-year extensions, indicating a strategic investment in comprehensive asset management solutions for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

This contract presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies in the technology and software sector who can provide integrated asset management solutions. The open procedure of the procurement allowed a wide range of bidders to participate, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which were actively encouraged to submit final stage bids. Such opportunities are well-suited for businesses looking to expand their footprint in the public sector by offering robust software solutions that facilitate enhanced asset management capabilities. Companies with a capability to scale user licenses during the contract term, in response to evolving business requirements, are particularly advantageous, given the flexibility built into the procurement terms.
