The Business Services Organisation (BSO) Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), on behalf of the Public Health Agency (PHA), Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG), Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT) and BSO PaLS within Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) (the Buyer) wish to invite tenders for the supply and delivery of Faecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT) System for Northern Ireland Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and Regional Symptomatic Testing Service.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

Options: Subject to funding, the Northern Ireland Bowel Cancer Screening Programme may extend eligibility from ages 60-74 to 50-74, potentially increasing participation by 40-50%. Implementation is expected to begin by April 2027 and be phased over four years, increasing demand for equipment, consumables, and related services. The Buyer also seeks to address screening inequalities, particularly for individuals with visual impairments or reduced dexterity, and invites suppliers to provide or develop accessible solutions during the contract term. The Buyer reserves the right, where such developments or policy changes occur, to procure additional goods and services (including those supporting age extension and accessibility improvements) under this contract, in line with agreed terms and Procurement Act 2023 provisions.

Renewal: There is provision for an extension of the contract for any period up to and including 36 months. A further extension of up to 18 months may also be applied; however, this additional 18 month extension may be used solely to facilitate a subsequent procurement competition or to put in place alternative arrangements for the required supplies or services. The estimated Total Value provided includes all potential extensions, as well as possible additional spend associated with the proposed age extension to the Northern Ireland Bowel Cancer Screening programme.
