## Summary

The London Museum has successfully completed the procurement process for its cleaning, waste, and portering services project. The contract was awarded on 14th November 2025, with work set to begin on 2nd February 2026. The total contract value is approximately £5,438,444.16 GBP. The procurement followed a selective competitive flexible procedure and involved parties like TOTAL SUPPORT SERVICES LIMITED, among others. The aim is to provide sustainable services across the Museum's estate, which includes locales in the City of London, Docklands, and Hackney, with future expansions at the new Smithfield site anticipated in 2026. This procurement, under the broad industry category of services, emphasizes a commitment to high standards and innovation in service delivery. The procurement process was initiated earlier with a tender phase that had its deadline on 25th July 2025, followed by an active selection phase, thus culminating in the award stage.

This contract presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for large-scale professional cleaning companies experienced in managing services across multiple sites. The extended duration of the contract, with possible renewals through February 2032, enables stability and long-term planning for the selected business. Additionally, the requirement for the provision of flexible and innovative service solutions, responsive to the evolving needs of an expanding museum estate, aligns well with firms capable of adapting to complex or changing environments. Companies with a robust capacity for managing both standard service requirements and additional ad-hoc services for events can leverage this opportunity to enhance their portfolios and reputation within the public sector.

## Notice

London Museum is undertaking a procurement exercise to source a suitable supplier for the provision of sustainable cleaning, waste and portering services on a daily basis as required across the Museum's whole estate, including ad hoc services for events. The Museum is seeking to appoint a service provider with the vision and flexibility to cope with each site's specific requirements, and who is able to consistently manage and maintain the high standards required over the length of the contract. The contractor must have a proactive approach to service development and innovation. The Museum currently operates from three separate locations across its estate in the City, Docklands and Hackney, and is currently mid-way through construction of an exciting new development at Smithfield in the City of London. This new site, due to open to the public in 2026, represents a significant new building to the Museum's current estate and will result in a new location for both staff and the public. The current three sites are as follows: *London Museum Docklands, West India Quay, London E14 4Al *London Museum Stores, Hackney (currently closed to the public) *London Museum Spaces, 150 London Wall, EC2Y 5HN (staff and events space only; due to relocate to Smithfield site in 2026, and this site will then close in 2027) The Museum expects the successful contractor to deliver an excellent level of service, as well as high standards of support and a strong working relationship throughout the contract term. The aim is to appoint a contractor with proven experience in delivering services to multiple sites of mixed use in the public or private sector that is relevant to the Museum's requirements.
