## Summary

The Waste & Resources Action Programme is preparing an open procedure tender for a waste and resource management technical advisors’ framework. This process is currently at the planning stage and aims to provide valuable support in waste and resource management across the United Kingdom. Scheduled to potentially go live within a week, the tender involves several lots covering waste analysis, refuse, and waste related services. Organisations can apply for multiple lots, provided they meet the required expertise criteria. The procurement exercise is anticipated to run over eight years, with re-openings every two years allowing new suppliers to compete alongside existing ones. The final award is expected to be completed by 7th August 2025, following submission deadlines on 3rd August 2025. The procurement category is services, with an estimated value of £760,000, and requires electronic submissions in English.

There are numerous opportunities for businesses specialising in waste management, resource analysis, and consulting services through this framework. Small and medium enterprises with experience in technical advisory roles in waste and resource management can leverage this opportunity to expand their operations. Innovative suppliers could provide services such as business waste collections, model development, materials recycling facilities expertise, waste prevention strategies, and managing other waste streams. The framework offers significant growth potential due to its open competition approach, enabling businesses to establish long-term collaboration opportunities across various waste management sectors. Suppliers equipped with strong technical capabilities, relevant experience, and are able to deliver high-quality services are well-suited to apply and thrive under this framework.
