## Summary

Nottingham City Council is planning a procurement process for the "Provision of Pipework Inspection, Renewal and Repair of Water Services", as outlined in the latest update on 19th September 2025. The tender, designated CPU 7375, addresses the need for repairs and renewals of water-related infrastructure across Council-owned properties. This procurement falls under the works main procurement category and is situated in the UKF region, United Kingdom. It is currently in the planning stage, with a pipeline notice indicating a future tender opportunity. The contract, valued at approximately £840,000, will cover a period from 17th November 2025 to 16th November 2029, following a selective procurement method, which is below the threshold and competitive. Potential bidders should monitor the Council's e-tendering platform for further updates once the tender goes live.

This upcoming tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in waterworks and pipeline services, particularly those capable of handling repair, inspection, and renewal of water service infrastructure. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that excel in these areas are well-suited to compete, especially considering the emphasis on collaboration with authorities such as Severn Trent Water. The scope of work, including responding to section 75 notices and liaising with local water authorities, requires a contractor with experience and flexibility in dealing with municipal water systems. Engaging in this project not only allows businesses to expand their portfolio within the public sector but also to build a lasting relationship with Nottingham City Council for future projects. Businesses wishing to compete should ensure they are registered on the relevant e-tendering platform to receive notifications directly from the Council.

## Notice

The successful contractor is expected to carry out repairs (and or replacements) to pipework and services association with the supply of water to and within Council owned stock / HRA land. This includes stop taps, point of entries and underground pipework. Some of the work will be in response to section 75 notices received by the local water authority (Severn Trent Water). These will need investigating and rectifying within the prescribed timescales. We also require the Contractor to liaise with STW or other local water authority to confirm findings or remedial work undertaken in relation to the Section 75. If the fault is found to be a non-Council managed property or non HRA land i.e. private owner occupier then the Contractor is expected to inform Nottingham City Council, the tenant, the owner occupier as well as the local water authority. NB "This is a Pipeline Notice published in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 to forewarn the market of a future tender opportunity, and does not require any action from potential bidders at this time. When the tender goes live a further notice will be published giving details. The tender will be published on the Councils e-tendering platform which can be found at https://www.eastmidstenders.org. We advise registering on the portal to be notified directly of tenders published by the Council."
