## Summary

The Southside Housing Association, based in Glasgow, is seeking to appoint a framework of contractors to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) within its properties. This active procurement process falls under the category of repair and maintenance services in the services sector. The procurement is being conducted through an open procedure and the contract is initially set for a 3-year period with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions, subject to the Association's discretion. The tender submission closes on 1st August 2025, with a contract award expected to commence from 4th August 2025. The services are to be performed in Glasgow, classified under CPV code 50000000, further highlighting the focus on the delivery of repair and maintenance services of electrical building installations.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for certified contractors specialising in electrical installation inspection and maintenance, offering an avenue for business growth through potential engagement with a reputable public sector housing organisation. With a contract value of £285,000, the selection criteria include a balanced evaluation of quality (40%) and price (60%). Suitable businesses would include those with prior experience in similar frameworks, a strong emphasis on adhering to current legislative requirements, and the capability to produce detailed EICR reports, including recommendations for remedial works. This is an ideal contract for businesses able to provide consistent and reliable service and who can leverage electronic submission methods to participate effectively in the procurement process.

## Notice

Inspect electrical installations for physical damage, wear and tear, loose connections, and other visual issues. The system should be checked and tested to ensure it meets current legislation including insulation resistance, earth fault loop impedance and continuity testing. In all instances an EICR report should include a detailed record of the inspection and testing, identifying and faults and con compliances. The report should also include recommendations for remedial works.
