## Summary

The public procurement process led by the Local Government Association involves the provision of services to support staff and manager preparedness for CQC assessments. This contract, focused within the health and social work services category, covers the UK. As of 9th July 2025, the awarding stage is complete, with the contract being active starting from 10th July 2025 until 31st December 2025, with a possible extension of six months at the buyer's discretion. The procurement process undertook a limited method due to being a below-threshold project, and a total of 12 bids, all from SMEs, were finalised for this contract valued at £18,000 gross.

This tender offers significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the health and social care industry, particularly those with expertise in workforce training and development. Firms that can deliver training sessions for council staff and management in preparation for regulatory assessments would find this contract beneficial for growth within the public sector. Companies involved in similar sectors and looking to expand their service offerings to public organisations would be well-suited to compete in future tenders of this nature.

## Notice

Our model includes working with the identified council to scope and deliver up to 4 sessions in a day with staff, to prepare them to confidently 'tell their story', to CQC assessment teams. Following the staff sessions, our model allows for the contractor to meet with the Senior team (Adult Social Care), to give key messages emerging to take forward as actions to address in advance of a CQC visit. In addition a face-to-face manager's session (approx 2 hours/up to half a day) is offered. This can be part of an existing or planned manager's event, if the council wishes, or stand alone and can be speedily organised.
