## Summary

The Home Office in London is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the provision of Passport Manufacturing and Personalisation Services, with key dates set throughout May 2026. This tender is part of the third round of market engagement aimed at securing comprehensive services for UK passport production and personalisation. The procurement covers a wide range of services, particularly in the printing and security sectors, and requires interested suppliers to register on the eSourcing Portal (JAGGAER) and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement by 13th May 2026. The milestone events include a virtual briefing on 18th May and a period for clarification questions ending on 20th May. The contract is aimed at ensuring the continuity of service once the current agreement expires, with a projected total value of £400m to £575m.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses across printing services, biometric technology, and information technology, especially for SMEs. Companies capable of providing secure digital printing, security-type printed material, and biometric solutions are well-positioned to compete in this tender. The procurement allows businesses the chance to deliver innovative solutions in digital travel credentials and integrate with HM Passport Office systems while ensuring compliance with international standards. Additionally, the contracts will address the need for disaster recovery and business continuity, offering firms the opportunity to partake in significant public infrastructure projects. Businesses with expertise in secure design, passport personalisation, and transition planning will find this contract particularly fitting for their growth strategies in the UK and beyond.
