## Summary

The Birmingham Women and Children's NHS Foundation Trust has awarded contracts for the provision of specialised psychiatric services focused on eating disorders, specifically targeting children and young people aged 13-18. The services include Eating Disorder Day Care and Eating Disorder Intensive Support at Home, covering regions within the West Midlands, such as Coventry, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire. The contracts, awarded under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023, were concluded on 12th November 2025 and will run from December 2025 to March 2027. The procurement was executed through a competitive process with a total contract value of over £1.9 million, and the stages involved include the award phase, marking the formal conclusion of the tender process.

This tender opens up significant opportunities for businesses within the psychiatric and healthcare service sectors. Companies with capabilities in providing mental health care services, particularly those offering innovative and integrated care solutions, are ideally positioned to benefit. The procurement method based on the open procedure highlights the availability of fair competition, fostered through criteria focusing on quality, innovation, value, integration, and social value. The contract's needs suggest opportunities for large-scale healthcare providers specialising in young people's mental health, offering a platform to expand service offerings across the West Midlands' districts. Businesses capable of collaborating with NHS trusts in delivering sustainable and accessible services might find this an attractive prospect.
