## Summary

Brunelcare, a Bristol-based charity focused on providing housing and care, is leading an open procurement process for an Electrical and Life Safety Maintenance Contract. This contract encompasses both planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and life safety systems across properties owned, leased, or tenanted by Brunelcare. Using an open procedure, Brunelcare sought to appoint a supplier for a five-year term, beginning on 1st April 2026. The maintenance services are to cover a wide array of properties within the South West of England, under the management of Shared Services for Housing Limited. Key dates in the tender process included a tender submission deadline on 1st September 2025, with the finalised award signed on 26th January 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialised in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance services. The contract, valued at approximately £2.93 million, offers stable business growth over a five-year period. SMEs in the related fields, particularly those with the ability to provide round-the-clock maintenance services, could find this contract highly beneficial. Successful bidders, such as the awarded NRT Building Services Group Limited, would need to ensure comprehensive service provision with an emphasis on system reliability and compliance, in order to gain and sustain business growth opportunities. This contract also allows businesses to engage with a wide range of properties, adapting to potential changes in property ownership or asset listings throughout the contract period.
