## Summary

The London Borough of Camden has completed the procurement process for the second phase of the Mental Health Supported Living initiative. This procurement, managed through an open procedure, aims to provide accommodation-based support for individuals with serious mental illnesses, such as psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, and personality disorder. The process involved two lots: one for the Central Locality and another for the South Locality, each focusing on connecting residents to their communities. The contract, effective from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2031, offers an optional two-year extension. Awards were recently announced on 24 December 2025, with contracts set to be signed by 30 January 2026. Deliveries will take place primarily in London regions, aiding in the reduction of homelessness and improving independent living skills among beneficiaries. The total value of this initiative stands at approximately £20.7 million.

This tender opens significant opportunities for medium and large enterprises, particularly those specialising in mental health care, social work services with accommodation, or community integration projects. Businesses like The Riverside Group Ltd and St Mungo's, which focus on providing high and low support accommodations, exemplify ideal participants. Additionally, SMEs can benefit from the opportunity to prove their competency and establish themselves within the public sector, given the project's light-touch procurement regime. The awarded contracts may involve partnerships and collaborations among stakeholders, thus enhancing the strategic network and growth potential of the participating entities. With a high emphasis on quality service provision, social value, and community engagement, this tender will serve as a robust platform for businesses dedicated to making impactful changes in health and social care services.
