## Summary

Bracknell Forest Borough Council is actively in the tendering stage for a contract titled "Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities," focusing on providing targeted support services for children aged 5-18 whose needs are not met in mainstream settings. The services, categorised under daycare for disabled children, will be offered in Bracknell, United Kingdom (region UKJ11) during weekends and school holidays. This open procurement process, following the "light touch" regime, has a gross value of £2,160,000 GBP and bids are due by 31st August 2026. The contract will potentially cover up to a five-year period starting on 1st April 2027, with an initial term until 31st March 2029, and includes an electronic auction as part of the procurement techniques.

The opportunity presents significant business growth potential, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSE), given the suitability criteria. The tender is ideal for providers specialized in daycare services for disabled children and those with experience in delivering high-quality activities for primary and secondary aged children with complex needs. The open procedure allows for broad participation, enabling capable organizations to expand their service offerings to this targeted demographic. Providers who successfully secure a lot could benefit from steady contract value and the chance to establish a long-term partnership with Bracknell Forest Borough Council.
