## Summary

Stockton on Tees Borough Council is initiating a tender process titled "Framework for Residential Care for individuals with a Learning Disability and/or Autism who are aged over 18 and require personal care." This service falls under the industry category of social work services with accommodation and takes place in Stockton-on-Tees, United Kingdom. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with submissions due by 18th August 2025. Interested providers must have their Residential Care Homes registered with the Care Quality Commission, and homes are typically necessary within the Borough boundaries. An open procedure is being used for this invitation to tender, complying with the legal framework under the UKPGA, reference 2023/54.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specializing in residential care for individuals with learning disabilities. Providers have the chance to secure a share in a framework valued at £28.6 million, facilitating long-term business growth. This opportunity is particularly suited for SMEs and voluntary organisations (VCSEs) capable of offering quality care and having suitable facilities ideally within or near the Borough. The need for compliance with rigorous quality and geographical criteria will favour providers with established Care Quality Commission registrations and an understanding of managed care service provisions tailored to individuals' needs. With a framework agreement open until March 2031, including potential extensions, it could provide sustained business development in the care sector.

## Notice

This tender is applicable to Residential Care Homes located within the boundaries of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. The Care Home will be registered with the Care Quality Commission for the regulated service - Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care, with the specialism of learning disabilities. Tenders may be submitted by Providers who have CQC registered Residential Care Homes located outside of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, who would be interested in developing new Residential Provision for people with Learning Disabilities, at a future date.
