## Summary

The London Borough of Sutton, in collaboration with Sutton Housing Partnership, has initiated an open procurement process for the "Thicket Crescent and Thicket Road Energy Efficient Retrofit Works" project. This active tender, identified by the code DN782535, is part of the sub-central government sector, under the works procurement category. It involves significant upgrades to residential buildings located in Sutton, UK, specifically at 45 Thicket Crescent and 22 Thicket Road. The project includes multiple components such as fire safety, mechanical and electrical installations, and insulation, segmented into six distinct lots. Each lot has its own tender documents and submission requirements, with contractors allowed to bid for only one lot. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with electronic submissions via the e-tendering portal closing on 6th August 2025. Interested parties should direct any enquiries by 30th July 2025.

This procurement offers substantial opportunities for businesses, especially those in construction, energy efficiency, and related trades. SMEs are encouraged to participate, as suitability provisions accommodate smaller enterprises. The tender's emphasis on energy-efficient improvements and sustainability aligns with the growing market trends in green construction, providing a platform for contractors specialising in such innovative solutions to expand their portfolio and market presence. Key considerations such as resident communication, programme management, and social value are integral to the evaluation criteria, presenting a broad scope for firms to demonstrate their comprehensive capabilities. The no sub-contracting policy ensures that the awarded contractors will directly engage with project delivery, strengthening their direct involvement in the local government's sustainable development initiatives.
