## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire is currently in the planning stage for the procurement of a new Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Tool. This initiative aims to evaluate the advancements in technology since their last market exercise and potentially replace the existing ITSM system used by Derbyshire Constabulary. The process is in the preliminary planning phase, starting with a request for information, and is expected to move forward with a compliant procurement route once a business case is approved. The procurement process falls under the industry categories of software packages, information systems, IT services, and computer support services. Located in Ripley, Derbyshire, this opportunity is part of a larger initiative to improve services offered by the local police force. A preliminary market engagement notice was published on 18th July 2025, with a due date for stakeholder engagement feedback set on 19th September 2025.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services and software development, particularly those providing innovative solutions in IT service management tools. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), are deemed suitable to compete for this contract. As the market engagement phase seeks to inform future procurement strategies, this represents an excellent opportunity for businesses to showcase new technologies that could influence the decision-making process. Companies with expertise in computer support services and those with a track record of working with public authorities will find this tender especially relevant, potentially leading to a long-term partnership with the Derbyshire Constabulary should the project's procurement phase proceed as planned. The engagement with various suppliers is expected to culminate in a decision by late November 2025, making it imperative for interested parties to respond promptly to initial requests for information.

## Notice
