## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services, under Velindre University NHS Trust, is overseeing an intention to award a contract under the Provider Selection Regime Wales (PSR Wales) Regulations 2025. This process pertains to a call-off contract based on a framework agreement with competition, specifically focusing on health and social work services (CPV 85000000) within the UKL region. The procurement stage is currently at the award notice phase, with a standstill period until 29th July 2025. The competitive tender falls under the open procedure method, highlighting a collaborative effort between Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council and Castle Care Specialist Services Limited for providing services in mental health and learning disabilities care homes with nursing.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses in the healthcare and social work services sectors, especially those involved in the provision of mental health services and care for adults with learning disabilities. Companies that excel in delivering quality care, offer competitive pricing, and can meet specific clinical, geographical, and social needs will find this call-off contract particularly advantageous. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in care homes with continuous staffing can capitalise on this framework, as Castle Care Specialist Services Limited, an SME itself, is a current provider on this framework. The focus on improving access and reducing health inequalities aligns with the objectives of businesses aiming to advance community benefits and social responsibility within the healthcare sector.
