## Summary

North Lanarkshire Council has completed the procurement process for an Independent Advocacy Service for Children, with the focus on providing guidance and counselling services. This contract falls under the services industry category and is associated with safeguarding the rights of children and young people aged 0 to 26 in North Lanarkshire. The process was conducted using an open procurement method and concluded with a contract award to "Who Cares? Scotland" on 23 December 2025. Located in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, the buying organisation is recognised as a regional authority and utilised enhanced probity checks due to the high-risk nature of the procurement area.

This contract presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for organisations specialising in advocacy and support services for young people. Companies like "Who Cares? Scotland", which are adept in guidance and counselling services, can enhance their service delivery capabilities and expand their influence within the community. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in safeguarding or those offering proactive engagement with vulnerable children would be ideally suited to compete for such tender opportunities, given the intricacy and significance of advocacy work. This tender not only supports community growth but also encourages the involvement of organisations committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals.
