## Summary

West Northamptonshire Council is initiating a pre-market engagement (PME) phase for a forthcoming tender focused on electrical term maintenance contracts. This procurement process is aimed at establishing long-term partnerships for various electrical services, including solar installations, electrical distribution, and communication systems. The PME is currently in the planning stage, with supplier engagement events scheduled by 31st August 2025. Key milestones include a procurement launch in September 2025 and contract commencement from April 2026. The procurement strategy encompasses frameworks and single supplier arrangements across well-defined service-area lots, with a contract duration of up to eight years, open to SMEs. Interested suppliers are required to register on the Council's procurement portal to participate in pre-market engagement activities.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities, particularly for firms specialising in electrical services, solar energy installations, and communication systems. SMEs are encouraged to participate, given their suitability for the framework agreements. Businesses able to offer services in electrical wiring, fitting work, and maintenance of electrical building installations will find the scope of this contract particularly advantageous. Engaging in this procurement process can help establish strategic partnerships with the public sector, offering stability and potential long-term collaborations. Additionally, the focus on strengthening local supply chains and providing training opportunities underscores an openness to businesses that contribute positively to the local economy.
