## Summary

The National Museum of the Royal Navy, based in Portsmouth, has completed its tender process for procuring IT Security Solutions for 2025. This procurement aims to enhance visibility, understanding, and responsiveness to cyber threats by complementing existing security measures. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, divided into three lots: Managed Detect and Response (MDR), Email Security Solution, and Microsoft 365 Identity Security Solution. The tender process has concluded with contracts commencing from 30th September 2025, lasting for an initial three-year term and potentially extending for two additional years based on satisfactory performance.

Participating businesses have the opportunity to provide advanced IT security solutions, integrating with Microsoft 365 services. This tender, valued at £282,000 gross, suits large-scale IT service providers, particularly those specialising in software development and consulting. With an emphasis on enhancing cybersecurity measures, companies offering robust threat detection, email security, and identity protection are positioned to benefit from this venture. The awarded contracts provide a substantial chance for growth, solidifying business relationships with the central government body and demonstrating capabilities in managing large-scale IT projects effectively.

## Notice

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) has reviewed its current cyber security stack and is looking to implement further measures to protect its systems, data and people. Solutions to be implemented should complement current security measures and enhance our visibility, understanding and response to cyber threats within the IT environment. The NMRN is reviewing its supply arrangements to ensure that it is aware of what the market currently has to offer and is in a position to select a supplier that is best able to deliver the National Museum's requirements over the next 3 - 5 years. The tender is split into three lots, which were able to be awarded either as a whole, multiples or as single awards upon evaluation.
