Management of cost within the budget envelope. Production of Pre-Tender estimate. Production of Procurement report. Management and recording of meetings. Advising the University on requirements for external funding or development, including Rights to Light issues or any other surveys and assessments required. Reporting to the University regarding progress, risk and issues. Scope: Multi-Disciplinary Design Team Undertake the design to achieve planning permission including: Architectural Principal Designer (including BSA) MEP Civil Engineering Fire Engineering Acoustics Landscape and Ecology Highways design Interior Design Surveys and appraisals Coordination of Design Advising the University of any other requirements to meet the brief. Planning Consultancy will be subject to a separate appointment. The appointment may be extended to include Stages 3-5 (Mobilisation to Completion) if funding is secured.

The University are undertaking Pre-Market engagement for the procurement for the provision of:
Lot 1: Project and Cost Management Services – Appointment of one Consultant
Lot 2: Multi-Disciplinary Design Team Services – Appointment of one Consultant
For a new build student residential scheme at the Talybont ‘brickyards’ site. The initial appointment is to undertake sufficient design to achieve planning permission and secure external funding for the project.
The objectives for the engagement are:
To establish the level of interest in the scheme
Identify any common concerns or queries
In order to register your interest in the project please register your interest against the opportunity via Cardiff University e-tendering portal: In-Tend https://in-tendhost.co.uk/cardiffuniversity/ 
The University are able to offer Teams meetings of 30 minutes duration to discuss the project. These meetings are not mandatory, if you are interested in the project but unable to attend the meeting, please register your interest to enable us to plan the procurement. If you have any questions but are unable to attend, please submit them with your registration of interest.
The meetings are available on the following dates:
6th August 2025
12th August 2025
13th August 2025 
Consultants interested in attending a Teams meeting must send an expression of interest via the In-Tend Portal. Once registered please complete the registration form and return via the correspondence function within the system. Please provide at least two dates and times when you are available, slots will be offered on a first come first served basis.
We also have another project which is undergoing pre-market engagement (CU.2015.JP BIOSV Relocation), if you are interested in both projects please register your interest for both, but only one meeting will be required.
All presentation documentation, questions and answers will be published against the opportunity on the Portal following the engagement meetings
