## Summary

Trinity House, a public authority in central government, is in the planning stage of its procurement process for the project titled "CM12 - Central Monitoring and Control System". This initiative involves upgrading or replacing the existing Remote Control and Monitoring System for Aids to Navigation. The project falls under the services category, specifically monitoring and control services. The procurement process is currently at the planning stage with a due date for market engagement-related activities scheduled for 2nd September 2025, in Harwich. Potential suppliers and stakeholders have been invited to engage with Trinity House during an Open Day event, which is strictly by appointment and requires signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in remote monitoring and control systems, particularly those capable of providing innovative solutions and technologies in the marine navigation field. Companies that can offer comprehensive services in system upgrades, maintenance, and integration will find this project well-aligned with their expertise. The contract, valued at £7.2 million, offers growth potential for businesses looking to expand their client base in the public sector while contributing to improved marine navigation safety and efficiency. Interested parties should be prepared to engage in a competitive process that requires a clear demonstration of capabilities and alignment with Trinity House's operational needs.

## Notice

Trinity House is currently exploring and reviewing market options to upgrade and/or replace its existing Remote Control and Monitoring System (RCMS) for Aids to Navigation. At present, we operate a Central Monitoring and Control System (CMCS), which is centrally monitored 24/7 by our Operations and Planning Centre based in Harwich. This system enables the monitoring and remote operation of marine Aids to Navigation (AtoN) across the waters of England, Wales, the Channel Islands, and Gibraltar. Each monitored site is equipped with out-station telemetry units, which facilitate both the remote control of fixed navigational aids and the observation of their performance and reliability. To ensure a thorough understanding of the existing system and our future requirements, Trinity House is hosting an Open Day. This event is intended for all interested parties to: - View the current CMCS in operation - Gain a clear understanding of both current capabilities and future needs - Discuss potential solutions and innovations with our technical team We welcome suppliers, developers, and other relevant stakeholders to attend and engage with us as we explore potential options. This open day will be held to provide a high level explanation of the existing systems and will take place in Harwich on Tuesday 2nd of September 2025. This will be strictly appointment only and an Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be signed.
